The one-day emergency first aid at work course will help most UK workplaces deal with the onset of a sudden illness or accident in their own setting. This includes helping colleagues, members of the public and visitors within your workplace.

Choose this course if you are in a medium- to low-risk industry, such as offices, shops, restaurants, gyms, and similar settings. In high-risk settings such as the construction industry, scroll down to the next option.

First Aid at Work (3-Day) encompasses all the knowledge of its one-day counterpart, plus loads more. It also delves into what to do in non-emergency situations, as well as important topics such as spinal injury, head injury, and major illnesses.

Choose this course if you work in a high-risk industry such as construction, factories/warehouses, or hospitality, or in a low-risk industry responsible for 100+ people on-site, e.g., schools.

Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour)

Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) will teach you everything you need to know about how to help a sick or injured child whilst at work. This encompasses the full range of emergency and non-emergency situations that arise within a typical childcare setting.

Choose this course if you are a childminder, nursery school worker, management at a school, or work at an after-school club. It’s particularly important that you choose this option if you work with under-8s.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6 Hour)

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6-Hour) is the little sister/brother to its 12-hour counterpart. Don’t be fooled, though, because you will learn the exact same emergency procedures on this course, which could save the life of a child/infant in a medical emergency.

This course is suitable for childcare workers such as nannies, babysitters, au-pairs and holiday camp workers.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Basic Life Support (BLS) generally does “exactly what it says on the tin”. It will teach you a core set of skills in a short time frame that can stabilise a casualty until medical professionals arrive. Except to swap theory for practical and learn yourself how to save someone's life during a medical emergency.

Choose this course if you're a GP, Doctor, NHS worker, or dentist. This course is also highly suitable for anyone wanting an introduction to first aid, as the content is covered within a 3-hour classroom session.

Our Training Centre

Train Aid’s Islington headquarters is @ The Lift, 45 White Lion St, London, N1 9PW

The training centre is within a 5-minute walk of Angel Tube Station.

Those who are driving should register with the Justpark app, enter the centre's postcode, and choose ‘Sainsbury's Islington’ as their chosen option. The current price is roughly £26 per day, which is far cheaper than standard car parks near central London, which equate to around £40 per day. The car park is less than a 3-minute walk to the training centre.

Accessibility

There is one blue badge parking space within the on-site car park. Please contact us directly if you would like to utilise this space. Please note the on-site car park is not for members of the general public.

The centre has a lift to both of our training rooms, which is located just beyond reception.

There are also accessible toilets on the ground floor close to the reception area.
