Just two steps

Just two steps

Setting up your own beauty academy is easier than you think. It can help you launch a new career, helping others teaching the subject that you are most passionate about.

Always make sure that you hold the relevant hair and beauty qualification that you want to teach. It’s good practice to make sure that you hold the highest level yourself, or at least be working towards it.

So you do have the necessary experience? Then complete the below two steps and set up your very own beauty training school!
Teaching Qualification

Teaching Qualification

It’s necessary to hold a teaching qualification, which will match up your experience with formal teaching skills. The Level 3 Award in Education & Training (PTLLS) is a 3 day attendance course, which by its conclusion will allow you to teach your own beauty classes unsupervised.

Train Aid’s level 3 teaching course will help you learn how to use lesson plans, schemes of work and will give you real life practice delivering your own lesson.

Awarding Body (Including insurance)

Once you hold the Level 3 Award in Education & Training you will now be ready to sign up an awarding body. Train Aid recommend BABTAC for this purpose who also offer an insurance package for beauty trainers.

The process will involve an annual payment and a fee for each short course that you set up with them. Your classes will then be accredited through an awarding body and your new candidates will meet the necessary insurance requirements for their salons.
