Yoga teachers may potentially come into contact with 100’s of people each week in their classes. Each person has the potential to have a known or undiagnosed medical condition which could be put under strain during exercise.
It’s possible that during a class a yoga student could have a sudden illness or accident. The situation could become an emergency, whereby some basic first aid knowledge / skills could have the potential to save a life.
Emergency First Aid at Work
The one day Emergency First Aid at Work Course will show yoga teachers how to maintain an unconscious, non-breathing, choking, bleeding, ill or injured casualty prior to the arrival of the emergency services. The taught skills could quite simply be the difference between life and death during an emergency within a yoga class.
Train Aid offers the course in 11 locations and each candidate receives an a5 textbook, expert tuition and a nationally recognised certificate. The course is fully recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga and the Yoga Alliance UK.
