Has life become too stressful in the nursery? possibly looking for a career change?
The childcare assessor course can transport you into a new career, where you can help others gain childcare qualifications. This opens up opportunities on the NVQ childcare qualifications, where your own experiences could help others through their own learning pathway.
Becoming a qualified assessor couldn't be easier with our straightforward format. The course starts with two classroom days at either our London, Manchester or Birmingham venues. The entire theoretical unit is completed in these two days, which leaves no essay writing to do once you leave.
Guidance is given on how to create a portfolio of evidence based on two learners within an early years setting. Candidates then go away, and fill out the templates within their new folder, in preparation for a visit from your teacher.
The observational visit is the final piece of the jigsaw. One of the team will come and visit you in your own workplace and observe you carrying out an assessment on your learners. This proves your competence in the field of assessing and once complete the folder is signed off.
Upon completion candidates awarded the nationally accredited Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (A1). Generally prospective employers will ask for this qualification alongside experience working within early years settings.
