Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour)

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12-hour) is taught over one classroom day (6 hours), with the additional time completed through an e-learning module (6 hours).

The course meets the requirements of Ofsted & the EYFS. It is suitable for childcare workers who may need to assist a sick or injured child in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

About this course

This is the highest paediatric first aid qualification that can be taken within the workplace. In the classroom, learners can expect to be taught a core set of lifesaving skills that could be used to save the life of an infant / child in an emergency. 

The classroom day is assessed through practical observation and multiple-choice questions at the end of the day. 

The e-learning module comprises seven interactive sections that can be completed on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The module is assessed through questions, puzzles, and other interactive content.

The minimum age for this nationally recognised course is 16. Please note that younger learners can still complete a non-regulated equivalent if supervised by an adult.

Why this course?

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12-hour) is suitable for childminders, nursery schools, after-school clubs, and schools. It should be considered by anyone who works closely with children in the absence of parents / carers' support. 

Upon its conclusion, learners are awarded a nationally recognised qualification valid for 3 years. 

This course can empower learners with the knowledge of emergency paediatric first aid and also how to recognise and manage childhood illnesses.

The e-learning module is sent to learners at the time of booking. This can be completed before or after the practical training day.

The final step is for an e-certificate to be sent to the course booker's inbox after successful completion of both the classroom day and e-learning course.

The in-house format is popular for groups of learners. As the booker of the training, you can select your own date and time, and we will come to you.

The office team will ensure everyone is enrolled in the e-learning module and schedule an instructor to lead the practical training day. E-certificates are sent to your inbox once both parts of the course are complete.
