Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour)

This course covers everything you need to know on helping a sick, injured or ill child, prior to the arrival of the emergency services. It combines one practical day with an online module which can be completed in your own time at home.

The Paediatric First Aid (12 hr) award meets the requirements of Ofsted and is therefore suitable for teachers to complete their registrations. It follows the latest guidelines from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to give people peace of mind when looking after young children.

What's involved?

Login details are automatically sent for the online learning module upon enrolment. The six units of the module are based on the management of childhood illness, injuries and emergencies. The module concludes with a 20 question multiple choice assessment.

The practical day teaches the skills required to save the life of an infant or child in the event of an emergency. Through the use of demonstrations and hands on practice our friendly team of instructors will ensure you are confident to use these skills should the need arise.

What you get out of it

The 12 hour Paediatric First Aid electronic certificate is awarded once both the theory and practical modules are complete.The certificate is nationally recognised and can be used as part of your registration with Ofsted.

This qualification will ensure you have the correct training to meet Ofsted requirements for Early Years settings such as schools, nurseries and after school clubs. The minimum age for the qualification is 16.
