About this course

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (previously known as PTLLS) is a nationally accredited teaching qualification and provides an excellent introduction to the role of teaching.

The courses has three units:
a) Roles and responsibilities within education and training
b) Inclusive practice
c) Assessment in education and training

The course assessment is three written assessments and a practical 15 minute micro-teach.

Our 3 day face to face classroom course is delivered at several locations across the UK. 


On days one and two, one of our experienced tutors will guide you through the content for the three units, fully preparing you for the written assessments.  The third day is the practical assessment day where each learner delivers a 15 minute micro-teach (mini lesson) on a subject of their choice.

After the course learners are given a month to submit their three written assessments, during which time our submissions team are happy to provide formative feedback for draft work.

Our in-house option allows clients to train groups of people onsite on dates of their choice. We are able to design bespoke courses to suit individual company needs. 

Clients can train from four to twelve employees onsite, choosing the delivery method that works best for them.

This is the most flexible format that we offer and allows learners to complete the course at their own pace and can be started at any point.

Learners complete the three written assessments using our electronic resources with videos explaining the topics step by step. 

Upon successful completion of the three written assessments, learners are supported to plan their 15 minute micro-teach for the practical assessment. They will then deliver this to their peers on one of our regular video webinar sessions.
