This course combines the two qualifications required to become a first aid trainer:

Level 3 Award in Education and Training
First Aid at Work (3 day)

You will learn both teaching and practical first aid skills.

About this course

The Level 3 Award in Education is a nationally accredited teaching qualification with three units:

a) Roles and responsibilities within education and training
b) Inclusive practice
c) Assessment in education and training

The Level 3 First Aid at Work involves two days of practical first aid in the classroom and a 6-hour e-learning module.


Why this course?

This course is designed to enable you to start delivering first aid training. Upon successful completion of both qualifications, you will meet the requirements to join an awarding body that offers first aid courses.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training will teach you the practical teaching skills to set up an effective learning environment and consider your learners needs. 

The First Aid at Work will give you the subject knowledge to teach others vital first aid skills. 

In addition, the five-day course will also cover how to set yourself up as a first aid trainer, including the equipment required, insurance and registering with an awarding body.

This is a five-day face to face classroom course. 
Days 1 to 3 you will study the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, gaining a nationally accredited teaching qualification.  
Days 4 to 5 you will complete the First Aid at Work and learn how to set yourself up as a first aid trainer.
