What's involved?

This course is designed for individuals in a real IQA role. Unit 1 investigates the principles of internal quality assurance and day 1 of the live video course goes through the criteria step by step, preparing you to answer the written assignment.

Unit 2 is where you demonstrate your IQA skills, monitoring the actions of two assessors and the decisions they make for two learner's portfolios. You will be observed live in your IQA role by a Train Aid assessor.

What you get out of it

This qualification will enable you to start practicing as a recognised Internal Quality Assurer (IQA). It is nationally accredited, meaning you can apply for IQA roles throughout the UK.

Many organisations are looking to employ individuals in managerial roles, where they are responsible for raising the quality and standards of their workforce.

Who's it for?

The IQA course is suitable for those working in education or training that have responsibilities for overseeing other teachers/trainers or assessors.

It is also suitable for those working in industry, finding themselves with responsibility for the quality of a team of employees.

What will I learn?

On Day 1 you will investigate the principles of quality assurance, including: planning IQA activities, the various methods to use in the correct environments and the role of constructive feedback.

Day 2 covers the practical IQA portfolio. You will learn how to: design IQA plans, design appropriate documentation, skills required for effective observations and how to act in a professional and supportive manner.
