Fire Safety (Level 1) introduces the concept of fire safety awareness within the workplace. It looks at the role of the fire warden and the main causes of workplace fires, leading on to how they can be prevented and the action that should be taken on the discovery of a fire.

About this course

Candidates can expect to learn about the core essentials of fire safety within the workplace. This includes the following topics:

  • Causes of workplace fires
  • Fire prevention
  • Action on discovering a fire
  • Fire extinguishers

Why this course?

Upon completion candidates are sent an electronic certificate which is valid for three years and demonstrates competency in the field of fire safety awareness.

Most importantly they should have new found confidence in the concept of fire prevention and what to do if a fire broke out within the workplace.

Staff members can expect an interactive training course delivered by an expert fire warden. The course combines a mixture of taught lectures, video case studies and a practical assessment of the individual workplace. 

The training course is taught over a three hour period, and is assessed through a theoretical recap paper at the end of the session.

Candidates are automatically sent a link to start the course upon enrollment. And can then begin the five interactive modules which consist of short lectures, puzzles, videos and questions. The course concludes with a 10 question multiple choice assessment.

It can be completed on a smartphone, tablet or computer and candidates can take breaks and come back to their work at any time.
