Frequently Asked Questions About The 3 Day First Aid at Work Course

By Bill, posted

Who is the qualification suitable for?

The course is suitable for businesses where there is a higher risk of accidents occurring. This applies to industries like construction, forestry / tree surgeons, and factories where chemicals are used.

Three day first aid at work is also suitable for industries where there is an imbalance between people on site and staff members. These situations may require a higher level of first aid. Examples include the hospitality industry and gymnasiums.

What’s the difference between the 1 day and 3 day course?

First Aid at Work (One Day) only addresses the core emergencies that can occur within the typical workplace. Three day First Aid at Work builds on these core topics and addresses non-emergency situations as well. Practical scenarios are also incorporated to improve confidence in first aid situations.

What is included as part of the price?

Candidates receive the ‘3 day First Aid at Work’ certificate once the course is completed. The qualification meets HSE guidelines and is valid for three years. Highfield textbook and work pack are also included as part of the price.

Can I become a First Aid trainer after completing the course?

Yes you can by combining the course with the Level 3 Award in Education & Training Course. Train Aid run this course in 13 locations across the UK.

Can I complete the course through distance learning?

HSE guidelines have stipulated a move towards a blended approach to learning. This means that the three days can be split between classroom attendance and distance / online learning. We will provide a further update in October 2016 when a decision has been made on the amount of classroom attendance required.
