First Aid Training Courses
Train-Aid was originally started solely as a first aid training provider. Although the company has evolved further first aid is still at the heart of our ethos, and very much at the forefront of our thinking.
We pride ourselves on delivering affordable and enjoyable training that has a strong practical emphasis. By doing so we feel our candidates not only enjoy the courses more, but also gain a better understanding for years to come.
The HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Course has been running successfully for many years. On the course itself you can expect a whirlwind six hours of practical material, which at its conclusion will leave you feeling a lot more knowledgeable. The training is based around life’s most threatening conditions and illnesses. A free text book is included on the emergency first aid course, but you should be prepared for an action packed six hours where the majority of the time will be spent learning practical skills relevant to your own workplace.
The three day HSE first aid at work courses provide candidates with the opportunity to learn all the topics of first aid. This 3 day first aid course comprehensively covers all emergency and non-emergency situations that can occur whilst at work. You can expect the training to be strongly practical orientated, which leads on to scenarios in the later stages. The scenarios enable candidates to apply the skills they have learnt practically, and eventually lead to an assessment on the final day of training. We have a near 100% pass rate on our first aid at work courses, and we now even include FREE AED training as part of the course.
The Paediatric First Aid Courses that we provide our recognised by Ofsted and legally cover anyone working with children for a period of three years. Once again the training teaches candidates practical skills specifically targeted towards infants and children. Our London based open courses always prove a big hit enabling people of a variety of different backgrounds to get together for a common goal. You can expect the course to be based around the setting of a nursery school.
By the conclusion of the Paediatric First Aid Courses candidates find themselves able to deal with a choking infant / child, administer CPR, and comfortably control major bleeding.
