Basic Life Support
What is Basic Life Support Training?
In an emergency first aid situation there is a critical window of opportunity that needs to be ceased, in order to keep a person alive. Basic life support training will teach you the skills required to keep someone alive after an accident, illness or injury. We will condense the emergency first aid at work program into a course that is all about learning the skills to save a life.
Our Basic Life Support training sets out to prepare you for the emergency situations that can happen in life. The simple skills that we teach can be a life saver, and can be used to help others in times of need.
Why Basic Life Support Training?
There are many situations in the workplace, at home and in leisure environments where lives are lost simply because people have never gathered basic life support skills. Members of the public should never be asked to be trained medical professionals, but they can learn simple skills, which can help keep a person alive. This course will show participants what to do in these situations and will ultimately give them the confidence to put their skills into practice if they were ever required.
Our basic life support training is innovative and interactive. We will use real life scenarios to help replicate what to do when a casualty has stopped breathing, is choking, or is bleeding heavily. These areas are identified as the main risk to a person’s life. By focusing on these principles we are able to teach you how to spring into action in such an event.
Who Should Attend?
The great thing about basic life support is that the skills that you learn can be applied to any situation in life. Accidents, Illnesses and injuries never pick the right moments / places; therefore by undertaking Basic Life Support training you can give yourself an advantage over others.
As an Employer you may feel that your employees only need to learn the aspects of first aid that will help keep a person alive in an emergency. You may feel that is a very low risk of other non life threatening injuries occurring. If this is the case then basic life support training is the course for you.
As an individual you may have recognised that you don’t know or have the assurance to implement first aid skills. By the end of our course you can walk away with the confidence to carry out CPR, put a casualty into the recovery position and deal with heavy bleeding.
