Emergency First Aid at Work

The HSE approved Emergency First Aid at Work Course can prepare anyone for an emergency within the workplace. This one day course teaches candidates how to deal with a casualty that is non-breathing, unconscious, ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

The emergency first aid at work course aims to teach individuals how to keep a casualty alive after a serious accident or illness. The simple skills learnt on the course have saved many lives and will continue to do so right across the UK.

The course is run in a relaxed and personable environment. We deliver an interactive course that incorporates specific scenarios related to the individuals / companies line of work. By combining different teaching methods the course has a fun theme to it, which we feel greatly enhances the learning experience.

By the end of the Emergency First Aid at Work Course candidates walk away with certification that is recognised by the government, and most importantly possess the confidence to help co-workers & members of the public in an emergency. The skills that candidates learn can be applied anywhere in life.

First Aid At Work

The First Aid at Work Course meets HSE guidelines and comprehensively covers all emergency and non-emergency situations within the workplace. This in-depth, wide ranging course enables candidates to gain a thorough understanding of the many different first aid situations that they may encounter within the workplace.

First Aid at Work courses are run over three days, allowing time for plenty of theoretical and practical practice. Many different types of teaching methods are used, which makes for an interactive and innovative course.

The First Aid at Work Course incorporates practical scenario training related to the theoretical principles that are taught. Scenarios are fast paced and fun, and create a hands on learning environment. Candidates often comment on how much they enjoy this aspect of the course, and often pass with flying colours.

First Aid at Work Courses are moderated by an independent assessor. On the final day candidates take an in-formal exam and are tested on their practical skills. Scenarios practiced over the three days are put to test in a mock-up real life first aid situation. Once again candidates often thrive and are keen to put their new found skills into practice. At the conclusion of the course individuals are awarded with their certificates and can reflect and move forward as confident first aiders.

Paediatric First Aid

The Ofsted approved Paediatric First Aid Course is designed for people whose profession involves the care of children, such as playgroup personnel, nannies and childminders. It is also known as the 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course, and is usually run over two days.

By the end of the Paediatric First Aid Course individuals gain government recognised certification, but they also walk away with invaluable life skills. The course is delivered in an interactive format giving candidates the opportunity to put theory straight into practice. The practical elements of the course enable everyone to grasp what a real life first aid situation would feel like. Our instructors often incorporate different types of scenarios, which helps get the best out of each individual.

Day 1 of the paediatric first aid courses focus on combing theoretical principles with practical practice. Instructors aim to help candidates individually, which helps everyone gain confidence in delivering correct CPR, Choking and bleeding technique. No one is ever left to feel they are out of their depth, as help is always on hand.

Day 2 focuses on putting all the knowledge and practice of day 1 into an in-formal exam. Candidates will be tested to see if they have grasped the practical elements of Paediatric First Aid. This means even more practice for individuals and ultimately gives them new found confidence by the end of the day.
